My role within the School of Computing, Engineering and mathematics involves me in a wide range of activities, including research leadership, personal research in Artificial Intelligence (AI), AI planning and Game AI. I lead and participate fully in the development and delivery of AI-related courses, and other administrative tasks related to teaching, research and the school infrastructure. I head the Computational Intelligence Group (CIG) within the school.
I have worked collaboratively with academics in the UK, Europe and the USA, and have also conceived, developed, initiated and run successful projects in collaboration with industry, universities and charities. I have also been involved in knowledge transfer partnerships. For more information on these programs please refer to the appropriate pages on this site and on the CIG main site.
